Requesting Recording Permission

Zoom's new bot compliance requirements mean that the bot needs to request permission from the host before it can start recording.

The following video demonstrates how to give the Zoom bot this permission manually.

If the host of the Zoom meeting is on version 5.13.11 or later, the Zoom bot will also proactively request recording permissions. See the video below for a demonstration of this.

Remember - this recording permission can also be granted automatically if your user gives your app Zoom OAuth permission. We recommend using the automatic recording flow whenever possible, as the user experience is greatly improved.
